I’m Honor, a Potter from the South East of England. I love the tangible quality of working with clay, and find the absorbing nature of ceramics to be both a comfort and distraction in harder times. I am drawn to simple functional forms that can be both pieces of art and objects of daily use.

In an increasingly technology oriented world, I enjoy the rich history of ceramics, and believe that preserving and celebrating traditional crafts is vital. I enjoy locating and processing ‘wild’ clay, and discovering where I fit into a craft that is centuries old, and in a world that doesn’t need yet another mug.

Alongside the Argil Counties project and my own making, I work as a technician and teaching assistant at Loam Ceramics Studio in Hampshire. To see more about my work check out my Substack @honorwalshceramics.
